To make my film poster i used Photoshop Elements 8. The first thing i did in photoshop was that i put all my images into grey scale as i wanted my poster to be dark. Thriller film posters often use dark colours that show it is a serious film. I then used the burn tool to make the clowns head darker. After this i added my text and certificate.
The above two screenshots show me putting text onto my poster. To do this i just clicked on the T icon and wrote my text. Then to add effects to my text i clicked on layer then layer style then style settings. this aloud me to add dropshadows, glows, to my work.
The above images show me using the burn tool to darken the face and eyes of my clown. This affect helps make the clown look creepier and more sadistic. 
The above picture is the magic wand tool it selects around objects to help you.
You can't see much on the above picture but it was to show that i had changed the opacity of the clown layer so the background layer is slightly viable. 
The above picture is a picture of the layer selector you can use it to change certain layers without affecting the others.
