Final Poster and Evaluation

This is a screenshot of my final poster. The two main images i used are stills from our film, This was because the actor we used it the film quit college and we had no way of getting in touch to try and take proper pictures for the poster. this means the images we used are of poor quality and unfortunately do not give the best results. If i was to do it again i'd make sure i took stills of the shots and actors are we filmed. The tagline i choose to use on my poster was 'Daddy can't save you now..' i choose this tagline, because i think i shows the audience something will happen to the girls dad. This will scare the target age group of 18 to 25 year olds as many of them still have there parents and go to them for support whenever they need it, the thought of losing that would scare them. I used a outer glow and a drop shadow on this font to give the font a kind of creepy look too it. I have chosen to do my poster in mainly black and white to follow the conventions of many thriller/horror films. One of the images i have chosen to use is an enlarged picture of the clowns head. I chose to only show one of the characters on my poster because i didn't want the images to look cluttered. I have used to the burn tool on the clown to blackout the clowns eyes. This shows the audience that the clown is evil and that the clown has something else about him that you can't see yet, this is hinting towards the twist at the end of the story. Also thriller/horror films often use images of eyes to scare or disgust people. For example, many people don't like the thought of anyone touching there eye so films will have pictures of people doing this to disgust these people. The text below the clowns head, has all the information a normal film poster would have such as directors, actors, and the website. This text also has a glow around it and drop shadow.
