The above posters are examples of character posters. There's is normally one of these made for each character in the film. They help to give the audience an insight into the names and personality's of the charters. The above posters all have a large picture of the character and then the name of the characters above the picture. This means the viewer can recognize each character before they even see the film. Also character posters are sometimes sold as merchandise if a viewer likes a specific actor or character in the film they are likely to by the poster. Below the picture the posters have the line 'You're invited to a very important date 3/5/10, this is an iconic line from the Alice in wonderland film that has been changed to show people the film release date. The audience will recognize this. The poster also advertises the film USP which is that the film is to be shown in digital 3D and imax 3D.
